--Avoid Spam sites;

When we are talking about how to build backlinks You might have heard that web directories and article directories are dead which is somehow true but if you are able to find the directories which manually approve every submission and only approve quality links then they can work well for you. In most cases, I would prefer the paid web directories because they do review each submission seriously and add only legitimate sites and not the craps but free ones don’t even bother to maintain the site’s quality. Therefore, even you want to do directories and article marketing, choose only the legitimate sites where you may build links but don’t do anchor tag spamming as I discussed in 2nd point.

--My Personal Opinion;
I mostly avoid web directories because most of the directories over the web are built with similar kind of categories and similar architecture to thousands of other directories. And it gives a negative signal to Google. Note >> Links from Web and Article Directories are not strong as they used to be in the early age of SEO. They lost their essence!

a-)Get Links from Different C-Class IPs ;
When you are building links you should take care this in mind that most of the links you build should not be from same C-class IP. This is important because when you get backlinks from similar IPs, Google considers that you are running some link network to build links which can result into penalization of your blog. Thus, while building links always check IPs of the websites from which you are yet to get links for your website,

. b-)Try to earn link instead of building;
This is something greater than all the other backlink strategy. It means to do something that other people would love to link to your blog, in that way you don’t actually build the link rather you earn it. Google loves these kinds of links which are added naturally. To do this, create good content on your website/blog and also do something unique so that it will be linked by others. One more way is to help others so that you can get so many mentions along with your website link.,

c-) Provide facts and figures on a finding:
This is yet a great step to earning backlinks because your facts and figures on a particular topic will be linked by people writing or researching on the topic at the bibliography (the sources found at the end of a book) or footnotes. One man who has earned a huge status as a social media examiner is Dan Zarella, and people never mind paying him a link.

d-) Vlogging or video blogging:
Videos are great tools of expressing your ideas and views and are a magnificent way of backlinking. The two most popular video sites hosting millions of videos are YouTube (of course) and Vimeo. These sites have tremendous views and subscriber list, and it is easy for people getting back to your site by the links you provide in the description section. You don’t have to be a camera specialist nor do you have to buy costly equipment for getting your videos picked up. A simple PowerPoint presentation converted to video format or a tutorial recorded by you through a screencasting software like Camtasia would be enough. Remember the content should be quality in the videos too and essentially related to your niche. For example, you can check my Tech niche YouTube channel over here.

--Broken Link Checking:
Over the years, many sites come and go, and it is potentially impossible to keep a record of all the pages that you have linked. So, find out the broken links of any website and send them a simple formal email saying you have detected a broken link on their website and would replace it with a great resource of yours that has similar content. Mostly you will hear an approval answer from them. This time, make the reply a bit personal, and you can include the link detected along with the link you want it to be replaced with (obviously from your blog!). Also, include some additional details that would make a good opinion about your site on them and they wouldn’t deny. You must check this post of Kristi Hines on Search Engine Journal to learn "How to Use the Broken Link Building Strategy to Get Links.",

--Benefit from content scrapers:
Potential content thieves make it impossible to protect content. However, you can make use of this opportunity by linking to your posts within the article (also known as interlinking). These content scrapers are lazy enough to check the internal links and will not remove your links thus you at least enjoy a free backlink. Secondly, you can use the WordPress plugin called RSS Footer to add a link to your blog after every post. P.S. Although this method might seem lucrative, I wouldn’t recommend this method as a free backlink generator as this would include you amongst the known of potentially penalized sites (content scrappers never have a quality blog) and might put you like a thorn in the eyes of Google, doing more harm than good,

. --Creating graphics, media that can be reused:
You can also create awesome memes, images, video tutorials and infographics that would go viral in the blogosphere. Try adding a humor quotient or make them a GO-TO complete guide. This way it will attract sites that would like them to be included in their posts, now make a condition that your products if used should be attributed a designed backlink. Voila and you are done. Many sites like Quicksprout, whoishostingthis.com earn a huge number of backlinks through infographics.

--Good Organic Backlinks –

Straight From the Mouth Of Google:
So Google Penguin 2.0 just happened around a month ago and we don't need to worry about backlinks anymore, just social media, right? Wrong. Building backlinks may not be the Wild West anymore where the biggest or baddest links win, but link building is still an integral part of your Inbound Marketing strategy. Backlinks from anywhere on the web are effectively a vote of confidence for your website, but they are all not treated equally. The inbound marketing parade of former SEO black hatters (now basically content spammers) advocates quality content and lots of it (so do mainstream inbound gurus) and this will then draw in natural, organic backlinks, or so they say. But what are natural organic backlinks? Well, I suppose the alternative is unnatural, inorganic backlinks (what the black hat guys use). So why does it matter that we have organic link profiles for our sites and how do we get them? Simply put, unnatural backlinks are those that were created in whatever way (with software usually, but also manually) with the intent to manipulate pagerank and thus, rankings. This is explicitly against Google’s TOS and they have unleashed the Penguin and Panda (and others) updates to combat this attempted manipulation. So the quick summary on why you don't want unnatural links pointing at your website is that Google either has or will develop a way to detect these and consequently, devalue them at the least, and devalue (or de-index) your website at most. In other words, it would be stupid and shortsighted to build these.

--So what are organic backlinks and how do we build or get them?
If you can't build backlinks really, or at least not the kind you want, then how do you get them pointing at your website? One answer that has been around for years and is still effective and touted by the inbound marketing masses is link baiting. Creating content on your website or sharing it online with links embedded in it allows others to share it, repost it, tweet it, or any number of other actions. From this, you get backlinks and a lot of times, traffic. This strategy obviously takes time and investment. Instead of buying or mass creating links, you are in effect, creating content for others to share. So what are some of the link baiting tactics that can help build organic links to your site?

--Service or Product Creation:
Create a product or service and release it on your website and social channels. By making something useful that others can learn from or that helps them with what they do daily, you will be a magnet for backlinks and sharing of your service or product.

--List Creation:
This is a little old school, but you still see it every day because it taps into our psychology. Create a top 5 list or 10 things you didn't know about l ist. Make 6 tips for list.
People love lists and will share them incessantly online and socially.

--Periodic Newsletter:
Writing a newsletter once a month, once a quarter, or even once a year that has valuable information in it (and links to your website) can lead to people not only reading it, but sharing it online.

--Tutorials and Teaching:
Much like lists, people love instructions. They love to be told what to do and how to do it (although they think they don't). Creating a helpful tutorial on something that solves a problem that others have is a very effective way to attract organic links to your website.

--Social Media & Networking:
Duh. If you aren't sharing your pages and posts and other links to your online properties on your social accounts you are missing a large opportunity. My blog post traffic doubles by sharing one link to a new post.

--Research & Study:
Have you had to solve a problem for work or for your website that you had to learn how to solve? Sharing this solution with others can bring attention and appreciation. Additionally, intentionally researching a topic and sharing it for the sake of link baiting works just as well. http://seattlesearchengineoptimization.com/good-organic-backlinks-straight-from-the-mouth-of-google/
